International denunciation of the spanish elections by "OtraDem". 6/Mar/04

The electoral coalition "An Other Democracy Is Possible" ("OtraDem") denounces before national and international public opinion impossibility of standing freely, on an equal basis, for spanish national elections to be hold in the 14th of March.

The last action of these banana elections has been the prohibition of "OtraDem"'s electoral publicity in numerous territorial centers of the state television. This public medium has refused to use its internal data network to distribute "OtraDem"'s television spot to its territorial centers. Electoral authorities have ignored very petition of protection before this aggresion.

It is paradoxical that state television, which uses constantly these data networks to distribute elites' political propaganda, and daily indoctrinates people with self-proclamation of current regime as Democracy, is not able to fit within its communication infrastructure a 60-seconds transmition every four years. Silence of the electoral authorities betrays an unacceptable unity of criterion.

During this electoral call, "OtraDem" has already suffered from other aggresions of the spanish regime. "OtraDem"'s candidatures have been banned in 19 constituencies. Electoral authorities require "OtraDem"'s electoral representative for travelling all over Spain accepting -in every constituency- the designation as constituency representantive done by itself, and delivering by hand the documentation of the candidatures. Despite of that is human and physically impossible, national electoral authority has refused to fit out alternative procedures. Fortunately in other 16 constituencies electoral authorities have authorized the candidatures, a gesture of respect by fundamental rights which is welcome by "OtraDem".

"OtraDem" asked the spanish Supreme Court for judicial protection before these nonsense. Also the Supreme Court states "OtraDem" has to travel all over Spain to claim protection for its fundamental rights in every constituency. It is understandable that, before the new agression of the state television, "OtraDem" renounces to obtain protection from the judicial institutions of the regime.

Therefore, "OtraDem" denounces before the public opinion these severe chronic irregularities in the spanish electoral system. And more particularly, "OtraDem" asks international institutions and organizations for starting an informative proceeding where "OtraDem" could contribute the oficial information as required.

"OtraDem" is a political forum based on Internet that becomes electoral coalition to denounce severe democratic deficit in Spain. "OtraDem" wants to raise people's awareness of every political freedoms are banned or adulterated (binding referendum and popular initiative for law abrogation, post recall and ratifications of treaties are banned; popular legislative initiative is banned for constitutional amendment and every frame law, ...). During electoral campaign, "OtraDem" helds several trojan actions within the regime to achieve the improvement of the electoral procedure: destruction of lists of voters once finished the electoral call, or observance of regulations for protection of voting secret (use of voting booths, control of party representatives, ...)

Denuncia internacional de "OtraDem" de las elecciones españolas. 6/Mar/04

La coalición electoral Otra Democracia Es Posible ("OtraDem") quiere denunciar a la opinión pública nacional e internacional la imposibilidad de concurrir libremente, en términos de igualdad, a las elecciones generales en España del día 14 de Marzo.

El último acto de estas elecciones bananeras ha sido la prohibición de la publicidad electoral de "OtraDem" en numerosos centros territoriales de la televisión pública. Este medio público se ha negado a utilizar sus circuitos internos de datos para distribuir a sus centros territoriales los spots televisivos de "OtraDem". Las autoridades electorales han ignorado toda petición de amparo ante esta agresión.

Resulta paradójico que la televisión pública, que utiliza continuamente esos circuitos de datos para distribuir la propaganda política de las élites y que adoctrina diariamente a la población en la autoproclamación del actual Régimen como Democracia, no sea capaz de acomodar en su infraestructura de comunicaciones una transmisión de 60 segundos cada cuatro años. El silencio de las autoridades electorales delata una inaceptable unidad de criterio.

En esta convocatoria electoral, "OtraDem" ya ha sufrido otras agresiones del Régimen. Las candidaturas de "OtraDem" han sido prohibidas en 19 circunscripciones. Las autoridades electorales han exigido al representante electoral de "OtraDem" que viaje por toda España aceptando en cada circunscripción el nombramiento que ha hecho de si mismo como representante de la circunscripción, y entregando en mano la documentación de las candidaturas. A pesar de ser algo humana y materialmente imposible, la autoridad electoral nacional se ha negado a habilitar procedimientos alternativos. Afortunadamente, en otras 16 circunscripciones sus autoridades electorales han autorizado las candidaturas en un gesto de respeto por los derechos fundamentales que "OtraDem" agradece.

"OtraDem" solicitó amparo jurisdicional ante el Tribunal Supremo ante este desatino. También el Tribunal Supremo pretende que "OtraDem" viaje por toda España para reclamar el amparo de sus derechos fundamentales en cada circunscripción. El resultado final son 19 provincias con las candidaturas prohibidas. Es comprensible que, ante la nueva agresión de la televisión pública, "OtraDem" renuncie a obtener amparo de los órganos judiciales del Régimen.

Por tanto, denunciamos ante la opinión pública estas graves irregularidades crónicas en el sistema electoral español. Y más en particular, solicitamos a las instituciones y organizaciones internacionales que abran un expediente informativo al que "OtraDem" puede aportar toda la información oficial que se le solicite.

"OtraDem" es un foro político en Internet que se constituye como coalición electoral para denunciar el grave déficit democrático en España. "OtraDem" desea concienciar a la población en el hecho de que todas sus libertades políticas están prohibidas o adulteradas (el referéndum vinculante y las iniciativas populares de derogación de leyes, revocación de cargos y ratificación de tratados están prohibidas; la iniciativa popular legislativa está prohibida a la enmienda constitucional y a toda ley orgánica, ...). Durante la convocatoria electoral, "OtraDem" realiza diferentes acciones troyanas en el régimen para lograr la mejora del procedimiento electoral: la destrucción de las listas de votantes una vez terminado el proceso electoral, o el cumplimiento de la normativa para la protección del secreto del voto (uso de cabinas, control de los interventores, ...)
